International Students - Fees and Charges

The following tables indicate the tuition fees and charges for each qualification delivered at New Era Institute.

NOTE: A processing fee of 1.75% applies if you pay by Credit Card/PayPal.              ALL FEES ARE IN AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS.

CRICOS Course Duration:

124 weeks (100 Tuition weeks = 10 terms) + (Breaks between terms).

Total Fee: 

Equals the total fees of Certificate III + Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care courses.

  • 1st payment including tuition fees of $650.00, an enrolment fee of $300.00 and a Learning Resources fee of $550.00. This payment is due before the commencement of the course (upon signing the International Student Acceptance Agreement).
  • By signing the International Student Acceptance Agreement, students who pay by instalments agree to honour the New Era Institute instalment schedule for a course as indicated above.
  • All tuition fees are exempt from the payment of (Goods and Services Tax) GST. No GST included.
  • All tuition fees and charges are guaranteed to remain as stated on the International Student Acceptance Agreement.
  • The tuition fees paid by students are guaranteed under The Tuition Protection Service (TPS). The TPS is an initiative of the Australian Government.
  • New Era Institute guarantees to provide quality training and student support services to all students as stated in the International Student handbook and the Policies and Procedures Manual. Students can expect the following:
  1. Provide a receipt (tax invoice);
  2. Provide confirmation of the signed International Student Acceptance Agreement and the place in the course and confirmation of the course commencement date;
  3. Confirm the payment plan as accepted in the signed International Student Acceptance Agreement;
  4. Provide orientation to the Institute and the course;
  5. Provide orientation to living in Sydney and the Burwood area where we are located;
  6. Provide the timetable and classroom based face-to-face course as described in the marketing information;
  7. Provide the learning resources and access to any other course materials, equipment and facilities;
  8. Provide trainer and student services support to students throughout the enrolment;
  9. Provide student support while monitoring course progress;
  10. Mark, provide feedback and results on the submitted assessment tasks;
  11. Support student to achieve their goal of completion of the qualification with reasonable adjustments;
  12. Issue results and a Qualification or Statement of Attainment/s upon satisfactory completion of the course requirements (if applicable).
  • New Era Institute charges no more than $1,500.00 in advance from each student prior to the commencement of the course or at each instalment payment.
  • An invoice for each instalment (Please refer to fees and charges, which can be found on newerainstitute.edu.au under Student Services) will be issued to the student and must be paid by ten (10) working days of the due date stated on the invoice (unless prior arrangements have been made and confirmed in writing).
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) fees have been calculated as a per unit cost based on the whole tuition fee per qualification
  • Student Enrolment Fee: $300.00 (non-refundable)
  • A ‘one off’ learning resources fee of $550.00 (which is inclusive of learning resources for a single qualification, comprising of textbook, student workbooks and handouts) is paid with the 1st instalment of tuition fees.
  • When a student chooses a package a second qualification learning resource fee ($400.00) is levied at the commencement of the second course.
  • The fees and charges can be paid online newerainstitute.edu.au/student-portal/fee-payment
  • A Late Fee of 10% will be applied for all payments received after the due date stated on the invoice.
  • The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for approving any discounts.
  • *Students will be required to undertake practical experiences within the workplace to demonstrate their competence. It is a mandatory part of their course. A $200 will apply to students who fail to attend or provide assessments at a scheduled visit resulting in a revisit. To avoid this additional fee, the student is requested to advise New Era Institute Work Place assessor of cancellation at least 2 working days prior to the visit.
  • In competency based assessment, the student will always be offered two (2) re-assessment opportunities as part of the tuition fees for each assessment event during a unit. Students will be charged a fee for any further re-assessments for each assessment event during a unit. This fee is to cover the cost of guiding the student toward competence. The re-assessment service includes individual guidance to prepare the student for the re-assessment.
