Domestic Students enrolling to study at New Era Institute must:
- Have attained the age of 18 years and over;
- Pass the LLN test (Language, Literacy and Numeracy);
- Have completed year 12 or an equivalent secondary schooling level of a Higher School Certificate or can demonstrate suitable work or life experience; and
- Provide evidence of AUS citizenship or residency. (eg. a birth certificate, passport or citizenship certificate).

The Enrolment Process
To enrol into a course as a domestic student at New Era Institute, applicants must complete a Domestic Student Enrolment Form
The form should be completed in full and submitted by email or mail to:

Documents for all students:
- Birth Certificate, Passport or Australian Drivers Licence
When we receive your enrolment form, our Student Services Officer will review it for completeness. The representative of New Era Institute will conduct an enrollment interview (LLN Test) considering your suitability to study the chosen course. When the enrolment form and the LLN Test are accepted, you will be issued an invoice to pay your course fee, which is valid for 28 days from the date of issue.

At New Era Institute, we deliver nationally accredited qualifications online and by distance training to domestic students. The courses are structured using guided study including pre-reading, completing workbook activities, audio-visual activities and assessment preparation. All assessments are submitted online. Online/distance training allows for flexibility to complete each unit within your daily schedule at work and/or raising a family but a course is required to be completed within 12 months. Extensions can be given to students in extenuating circumstances.
Early Childhood Education and Care courses have compulsory work placement hours as part of the course requirements. More Information about each course offered by New Era Institute can be found under Courses and the associated course pages for Early Childhood Education and Care.
Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning
Depending on your previous study or work experience and if you have gained credit for units from another Australian Registered Training Organisation, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning.
